Swamp Dreams: Emotional, Haunting, Surreal

Everything Is Recorded releases his latest music video set in marshland where the line between music and emotion blurs.

Ed Morris directs ‘Swamp Dreams #3’, cut by Rebecca Luff, set in a wild, inhospitable landscape. The video follows a stoic figure, guitarist and vocalist Clari Freeman-Taylor (part of Mary In the Junkyard), trudging through a muddy dirt track in the middle of a vast, barren field, carrying a small 1980s television. On the TV screen, a vibrant, expressive version of Clari’s face sings, juxtaposing her impassive expression as she presses forward.

“The video is ultimately about the true self outliving the persona. It’s not an overt narrative, though; the themes are implicit, wrapped in something intriguing, beautiful, and hopefully captivating to watch.” – Ed Morris
